It’s true! In the early 50’s the ‘discothèque’ was born – a nightclub where only discs (records!) were played… We’re creating a nationwide celebration of Jubilee street parties, beacons, dancing and revelry to honor 60 years of the ‘discothèque’ and the institution we all love: dance music… Right across England and the commonwealth people will be celebrating, even HM the Queen is joining in the fun and will be partying as well we hear. Come and join the main event at Planet Angel on Friday 1st of June and then take the long weekend to relax.

Once again we’ve managed to secure the venue you all love for our last party until the autum – we’re back at Lightbox and Fire with three areas of music, that lovely clean and welcoming atmosphere and the massive terrace for lots of summer fresh air.



Musically we’re celebrating the origins of dance music taking you on a pounding journey with special sets laced with classic tunes from the seminal dance music days! It’s a really strong DJ line up for this Party and we’re especially pleased to welcome back two ex-residents who, along with our current residents and guest DJs will be creating an awesome musical backdrop for our last Party until autumn!

This Party also sees the return of one of our most popular Happenings – The Planet Angel Fashion Show is back! Get involved, get free entry, and get in the spotlight to strut your stuff or just come and enjoy fantastic creations lovingly made by your fellow Planet Angel’ers! More here.

We’re also very pleased to welcome back the Sick Promotions crew this time with more fire to play with in the garden and new crazy characters. And… The Immersive Theatre Project was great fun and the last Party so we’re including it again this time with new ideas and creative roles – remember you can take part if you’d like, just get in touch.

Our workshop this month is a first… making windmills with Grace plus we have the sticker matching game and… … a Diamond treasure Hunt! We said it would be packed with fun stuff and tht’s not all there’s face painting, the art canvass, poetry canvass, Plasticise, Lego table, connect 4, big Jenga, giant noughts and crosses, Backgammon and all of the Planet Angel trademark games and interactivity.
